DESCRIPTION:Thursday Oct. 29 and Thursday Nov. 5 \nIn this two-part workshop\, we’ll look at the basics of the Brioche Stitch. We’ll demystify the stitch and break it down into its components. In part one we’ll begin to knit a swatch in Brioche. In part two we’ll look at Brioche mistakes and learn how to fix them.\nParticipants must know how to knit\, purl and yarn-over.\nCost: $50.00\nPlease bring a 4.5mm circular needle and 2 balls of Sport\, DK\, or Worsted-weight yarn in contrasting colours. SUMMARY:Shall We Steek?
DESCRIPTION:Steeking allows you to knit a cardigan in the round\, then open up the button band by cutting through your precious stitches. Sounds menacing\, but it’s really not that complicated. \nIn this two-part workshop\, we’ll knit a swatch in the round on the first day. We’ll talk about appropriate yarns to use\, and applications for steeking. \nOn the second day\, we’ll cut our swatches and finish the edges.  \nThis workshop is designed for competent knitters who can knit in the round. The workshops will be held Saturday Jan. 9\, and Saturday Jan. 16.  \nCost: $65.00 per person\, non-super wash yarn provided by KSW.
